“I [Peter] tried out for soccer, but never got any time on the field. Once, I helped some kids play a practical joke on a teacher by moving his car from the parking lot into the gym….I got detention, but the other kids didn’t, because they were on the basketball team and had a game on Saturday.”
Is discipline fairly administered in our school?
Do some students get preferential treatment when it comes to discipline?
How “fair” is our school in general?

no i believe it isnt because some people have bad reps out of school wich then our principle heres about and makes there punishments worse if they get in trouble

He has good ideas but i dont agree how he follows through with them and if he does its in the wrong way. he says things and does another most the time and i hate the fact he will keep saying something when you make a good piont and what hes sayin is wrong i personally dont like it but in a couple months i dont even care im out of this school and dont have to listen to him:D

I think that the discipline administration is very unfair in this school. Mr. carroll keeps an eye on the people he thinks are bad. But there are many other kids who do bad things too. But he doesnt notice them because he focases on the people he thinks are the trouble makers. so i think he and all of the other descipline administration do a bad job.

No the discipline in our school is totally unfair. Yes pretty much all of the time 1 kid can do 1 thing thats not that bad and he will get in a lot of trouble and some one else can do something that is really bad and get like lunch detention. Our school is not fair at all.

One of my friends was said derogitory things to. People told and the people who did it only had to write an essay and have there parents called.Another one of my friends also had that happen about her religion. This really changed my perspective on how the punishments are in this school.I think kids in this school can get away with stuff it just depends on who you are.

I agree with Austin about reps!

I agree with austin, some students in our grade have bad reps in and out of school and when the principle heres about them he makes the punishment worse than everyone elses. Our school is pretty fair in general.

i agree with austin and nichole. I think that some kids have bad reps and some kids have good reps. i think that the kids with the bad reps definatly get more punishments than the kids with the good reps because the teachers/princlipal think that they will learn their lesson. some do and some dont. The kids with the good reps though have advantages. They sometimes get "special treatment" just because they are a history freak or really good at math. But i dont think thats fair at all because then other kids think they have to be good at everything and it puts pressure on them and everything else that goes with that.
So in general i think our school is pretty unfair, most of the time, just because of how much people get punished or "sprecially treated".

I agree with everyone, so far and I got in trouble a bunch of times last year for things that were really stupid. Like, I got a detention for saying "what the...". Nothing else, just that. I just don't lik ethat every little thing you say or do, you get into way too much trouble for.

I agree all about the rep. Teachers do watch out more for the kids who tend to get in trouble more. In my opinion, it's understandable to look out more for them, but to get them in trouble for no reason isn't fair. That's probably a fact. I haven't seen personally, but I wouldn't be surprised if it went on.

I agree about the rep. Teachers do look out more for the kids who tend to get in trouble more. In my opinion, that is understandable, but to get them in trouble for reasons other students wouldn't get in trouble for theirs no accuse. It's not fair. I never really seen it, but I've also never really have thought it about so I haven't looked for it, but I definitely wouldn't be surprised.
Oops sorry, I thought my comment didn't post so I re wrote it.

I agree that some people are given bad reputations by teachers. They are watched more than the other people. Overall I think our school is pretty fair.

John Reborri told me how Mr.Carrol was gonna give him 2 days in school suspension, he couldn't go to any after school activities, or ride his bike for the rest of the year, but he argued the fact cause he knew that if it was any other kid that borrowed a bike without asking the punishment would have been alot less. It is more for John because he is labeled as a (bad) kid due to his previous years in this school, but I think that was the first bad thing he did this year, and it wasn't even that bad. I definitely see maturity and common sense within you know John, and i'm not saying that t be mean. I love you. :)MATT(:
I think that the school is completely "messed up" in how people get punished in the school. the people who get good grades never really get any disipline while the kids who do things bad once in a while get the worst. most of the time i think that if a teacher doesnt like a kid they will just act like they did somthing wrong but what's the "DUMB" think about it is that they have more trust in the teacher who just doesnt like the kid then the kid who did nothing at all.

I think there may be something to what everyone is saying. Do you think Mr.C should see this blog topic?
our school isnt fair. no offense to my group of friends, but unfortunetly they arent the brightest bulbs in the box so what they might get in trouble for i probably wont because teachers may see me as smart and my friends not responsible. im not saying that i would like to get in trouble, but i just think it's retarded and unfair to my friends. mr g i think you might as well go and show mr c this, he might as well know that his faculty is unfair towards different types of students.

I dont think our school is fair. Even though ive never been in trouble in our school, i see how mr carrol treats other people based on what they have done in the past. i dont think thats fair because your being watched like a hawk for something youve already been penalized for and your being judged from that mistake.
